reBlog...Spreading Island Love For Pets!

This original entry was posted on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009 at 7:02 pm by Marmy Kodras.

At the beginning of this week, I saw a LinkedIn post from Cheryl Cardamon about a website called Island Dog Gear…now I don’t know about many of you but for me, it was like the angels were singing!!! I was born and raised in Hawai’i and have always tried to keep items around my house that remind me of the islands. I haven’t physically lived there since the mid 90’s. It’s also been a very important thing to have my fuzzy children either decked out in Hawaiian apparel or have toys around that remind me of the islands. It wasn’t until this past summer that I realized in searching for hawaiian gear for pets that I was having no luck in doing so…With all of the other combinations and options for collars, leashes, bling, apparel, etc. for dogs, why couldn’t I be able to find prints from Hawaii? Well since I’ve come across their site…I can now rest assured that my fuzzy kids (who have always had Hawaiian names) will never be without their hawaiian gear! Now that we’ve just added a new addition to our family, the new fuzzy kid will also know what it’s like to not only have a Hawaiian name, but to also show off her heritage! They even have a blog to boot!

If you love, and I really mean, love your dogs like we do and you are longing for the island thing for them…then “E Komo Mai”…after all if you can’t make it to the islands (like the President and first family) you can at least look like your dogs went there!
